"Oh no, somebody stepped on your mushroom!"

"No it just looks broken.  You should have seen him last month when he struggled with a bout of depression."

"Are you trying to tell me plants have emotions?"

"I don't know about all of them, but the ones in my garden do."

"Alright then, what is 'he' doing now?"

"He's tracking."

"Tracking, what, like a blood hound?"

"Exactly, I can't remember where I planted the magic beans I bought yesterday."

"You know, when you told me you had magic mushrooms, I had no idea it would be this much of a trip."

I definitely appreciate that you tell the whole story through dialogue. Very cool.

LOL Wakefield! Nice play on words. And yeah, you better find the magic beans before the giant finds you! :)

Totally enchanting. Great dialogue and I completely believe that the dude knows his plants!

This guy sounds like a fun... no, I'm stopping right there! I will not do mushroom-based puns simply because I see a mushroom. That said, this guy (assuming it is a guy, I just get a male-female back-and-forth vibe) does sound like a laugh. He either has a totally irreverent sense of humour or he's just plain mad. Or he's right, and the world just got a little more awesome. Any one of those options is a win in my book.

Plants *do* have feelings, especially the trees ;) Loved it Wakefield, that was cute. Never heard of a bloodhound mushroom before, LOL.

Wonder if he can be trained to use his tracking skills for detecting metal objects on the beach. ;)

Thanks, Wakefield, for a thoroughly enjoyable and quite fanciful tale.
