“Well it looks like we picked the wrong day to switch from comprehensive to liability.” Luke shook his head.

“I’m so sorry Luke. Actually no, I’m not sorry. It was all her fault.”

Carrie rolled her eyes. “I fail to see how the responsibility for this situation lies on me when you were the individual operating the vehicle. How do you end up on ‘top’ of a jersey wall?”

Margot’s eyes flamed in a way Luke had never seen before. “You were the hussy trying to bogart Luke on ‘my’ day!”

Margot sneered. “Oh so Miss know it all hasn’t found the urban dictionary yet? It means hoarding. You had two days in a row already so get your filthy hands off of my man!”

“Your man? Excuse me but who started dating him first?”

“Excuse you! Who dumped him and pawned him off on me and then came crawling back?”

“Crawling?” Carrie stifled a scream.

“Ladies, can you please stop for one minute? I’m trying to think of what to do here. Man, how did I ever get in this situation?”

Carrie took a deep cleansing breath and then shrugged. “I believe it was Oscar Wilde who said ‘There are only two tragedies in life: one is not getting what one wants, and the other is getting it.’”
